Tips from great Designers...

Feathers on clothes, ribbons on necklaces...take a plain tee and pile on the jewelry...

Wear black and white...try and stick with two from time to time..resist adding the red belt, I know it's hard, but try it..

Mix pearls with tough chains..try a long necklace as a belt, or wrapped as a bracelet...
Karl Lagerfeld...

Out on they special night, don't let your outfit or jewelry overwhelm you...

Have that one well-tailored jacket, fitted with a little bit of shoulder...

"Say to yourself, I know what I like, and if fashion proposes something that's not me, forget it!"
Giorgio Armani

Work the no-color colors this year: white, gray, "griege". Here's how: go for hues a little lighter or darker than your coloring

Find your best tone, if you look good in brown, go for a beige undertone..if red suits you..choose a pinker base

If you don't want to look washed out with this new fall trend, keep these colors away from your face..wear them on the bottom
Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein

Nautical look.. Stripes...look for pieces that have classic details, sexy and a modern silhouette...

Smaller bag when pulling off the nautical trend..stick a flower on the bag or wear dangly earrings..one little touch that says,"I'm not a sailor".

OMG!! I forgot about my nails!!

Ok, so I went out with the hubby and some really great friends last night. Got all dressed up, looking and feeling really good about myself! We are in my truck on our way downtown Denver and I get a glipse of my hands. Not only did I forget to polish my nails with one the 50 bottles of polish I own, I didn't even throw on a clear coat!! I was devastated!! I put on some of my hottest and biggest rings I own and really wanted to remove them so it wouldn't draw anyones attention to my hands! I thought about it and ended up leaving them in because they were part of my outfit. But of course, one of the guys noticed my huge ring and commented on it and I was so embarrassed about my nails, but after two very strong but yummy martinis, I was completely over it. So it turned out to be a great night!

Just thought I'd share..:)

The Diva’s Den finally finished!!

I am finally done with the re-design of my office!!  It is 11:30pm on August 27th, and I am finished!!  I am so excited to share it with you all!!  The ‘Diva’s Den’ is finally ready for it’s first photo op!!  I still have some little things that I am still working on, like hanging photos and placing some more chic decor around the room, but I am so happy with the results so far!  This room makes me so happy!!  I started on July 12th and posted pictures of the old office.  When I look at those, I can’t believe it has come this far!  If you are curious as to the cost of this re-design. let me fill you all in!  I already had most of the furniture, pictures, and decor, so I didn’t add that into the price, just what I spent on new furniture, decor and the paint. Grand total of about: $500 and Voila!!  I have the office/boudoir I’ve always wanted.  You can do the same to your office too, maybe not exactly like I did, but something that makes you feel good.  The whole I idea was to make me want to come in my office and work, take care of bills, kiddos school stuff, reply to emails and of course, get my Premier jewelry biz back on track!  I have to give the biggest shout outs to my hubby and my mother!!  My mom came into town to visit and worked her butt off helping me pull this room together.  Thanks Mom, you are the greatest!!  And to my wonderful husband who helped with hanging cabinets and moving things around and most of all, putting up with all of my bitching and complaining everyday because it wasn’t done and was such a big process!  I hope this motivates somebody out to get off you butt and Get It Done!!!

BTW..I forgot to mention, that all of the cabinets and bookcase that you see, I put together and it definitely wasn’t easy!  I learned a lot about myself during this room transformation and moving forward, I am no longer afraid of a drill and hammer..:0)  Enjoy!!!

Key Pieces: The new essentials

Floral dresses, no longer just for spring, they are autumn and fall. You can wear a thin layer under it and a cozy knot over for a cool look. Be sure to match the sweater to a color in the pattern or you can end up looking like a flower child. You should look sleek not sloppy!

Bright bag, bright hues are in! If you like yours in small doses, a chic purse makes a splash and won't scream look at me! Try colors like berry or cobalt blue with a neutral wardrobe. If you want a little more pizazz, choose a patent leather.

Leather jackets!! Grab a bomber jacket! Paired with a cute dress and heels, you are sure to make heads turn. Or make it cute and casual with your favorite pair of denim, flowy top and pair with embellished flats or booties!

Fair isle cardigans and sweaters. Nothing says comfy in the cold winter than a cozy knit. Instead of grabbing that solid, try the folksy spin. It's a Scottish sweater with classic pattern, but the shape is a little different. Wear it with pants, or belt it over a skirt for a pulled together look.

Fun gloves! Put those plain and boring black ones away! Putting on a pair of gloves goes a little further than just warming the hands now. Vibrant shades and lots of details is what make a chic pair of gloves show your true colors. Choices include, studs to ladike buttons. Find what works for you!

Leopard print we spoke about before, but I need to make sure you all get it! Try it, buy it, and wear it!! Have fun adding it to solids or be risqué and wear it with another print. Try a bold one that doesn't clash but adds contrast. Check out some of the Fall fashion mags to check out this trend.

Nude shoes are hot!! Not to mention the fastest way to look longer and leaner. Find a shade that pretty close to your skin tone and show a little leg with a short skirt or you fav skinny or ankle jeans. I like wearing my nude pumps with every color in the book!! They make an outfit look amazing!

Parkas and Anoraks have turned a new leaf with the new tailored versions that were created for the everyday woman. Throw on an army green one and add edge to an evening look. Or throw one on with a pair of leggins or jeans and spice up a casual look.

Just a few things to look out for in the upcoming Fall season! And don't worry, I got alot more for ya!!!

To Mani/Pedi or not to Mani/Pedi?

Absolutely!!!!

Take care of your hands and feet ladies! Please! Go to your closest nail salon and get your nails and toes done.
Manicures are easy, wether you pay for it or do it yourself! Fall is near, so choose your color wisely. Fall colors are amazing, warm and rich tones are heating up the salons! Purple hues, red, brown, blue, and so many others. Make sure and keep your cuticles, nice a neat, a little cuticle oil will do the trick. File to whatever shape you like, make sure you first throw on a base coat to nourish your nail and it makes the polish stick better. Polish with your fav fall color and a top coat to seal the deal. I personally throw on extra top coat every day to keep polish from chipping.

Pedicures are not as easy, at least not to me! Sitting on a chair or on the floor hunched over is not that comfortable. I believe every woman deserves to sit in the massaging pedi chair and enjoy a revitalizing foot rub!! Keeping nice groomed feet is a must, even in the winter when you have on socks and boots! You still have to take them off and why should your hubby have to suffer and look at your dry and cracked feet?! So, if you must do it at home, then please invest in a good pumice stone and some exfoliating foot scrub. Use a thick foot lotion right out of the shower. Follow the same basic steps in polishing your toes as you would your nails and Voilà!!!

I'm just saying, if you are going to partake in wearing some of this seasons hottest peep-toe booties, with or without hose, you have to take care of those feet! If not for yourself, then..please..do it for us!!!

Shopping to soothe the soul

How many of us shop because we are bored, upset, sad, or depressed? Whatever the case may be...don't do it!!
Shopping in any of those moods is very bad for your wallet! When you are bored, you will just buy things you don't need. When you are upset, you are buying things just to spite the person you are mad at! Like your hubby for instance..:). When you are sad, you buy things that you think are going to make you happy, and we all know how that turns out. You try it on in the store, you smile at yourself in the fitting room mirror, then you get home and it stays in your closet tagged for a year!! Now depression is a whole other issue! When you are depressed, you go crazy at the mall! Because just being in the stores you love make you feel good..:). You will spend way over your budget and then some. When you get home with all of your bags, you feel even more depressed than you were when you left the house!
I feel I can describe these feelings to you because I've experienced every single one of them. Did I learn my lesson, you ask? Hell No!!! No matter what you do, at the time shopping does make you feel good!
Here's an idea you can try, start a mood savings. Whenever you are in one these moods, you will have a little savings to dip in and fulfill your needs, it works!

Whatever your mood may be today..endless.com is having a sale.

20% off hard to find sizes in shoes!! Women's and men. If you haven't shipped this site yet, you will start, it's awesome for the whole family!

Happy Tuesday!!

Hair!!

When you think fashion, are just thinking your clothing? If you are, then you are wrong!! If your hair is a mess than how are you going to pull off a flawless look?

It really surprises me when I am out and about the number of women who don't care about what their hair looks like! There are salons like Great Clips, Super cuts, or even the salon at Walmart that have stylist that know what they are doing, you just have to look. Your hair is a very important part of your image! There are dozens of hair magazines that can help you choose the style that is right for you. You have to consider things like face shape, color, cut and the up keep depending on what you choose.

If you are bold and brave, like me, you will try something new and sassy a couple times a year or more! Find what looks good on you and makes you feel good. For me, I feel sassy and sexy with short hair but you may enjoy long hair. If that's the case, try some fun and playful layers. I can go on for days about all of the different styles out there for your hair, but I want all of you to do your homework!

Great product is another key factor in keeping your hair healthy and shiny. Just to name a few: Moroccanoil products are amazing for all hair types! If you have hair that is flat add a volumizing mousse, Dove makes a great one and it's super cheap!

Just remember..when your hair looks good, you look good! It makes you look polished and put together. So get out there, get some magazines or have a chat with a stylist!

Go and get your hair did ladies!!

BTW..I have a great one her name is Terri and she's a master stylist at the Beauty brands salon on 120th, for my Broomfield ladies..:0)

Bring these with you into Fall!!

Who's ready for some Fall fashion talk? I can tell you that in Colorado we are still trying to enjoy summer but Fall is around the corner! Here are a few items you can keep in your closet from your summer wardrobe.

Animal prints can stay!! It's funny how I actually use to hate anything with an animal print on it! That's only because I didn't know how to work it. You don't have to wrap your entire body in leopard print! Moderation is the key and with the variety of luxe items out there to choose from everyone can bring a little leopard into their wardrobe.
A scarf, belt, handbag, or a chic pair of gloves in an animal print can bring you up to date in a single effortless step! Or get real trendy and throw on a chic coat, skirt or a pair of booties in a leopard print and you will be a show-stopper!

Floral dresses, tops, and skirts..keep them around. Throw on a blazer, military jacket or even a cardigan to bring these pieces up to date. Try leggings or a pair of opaque tights for those colder days and a cute pair of booties or flats to finish it all up!

More Fall update to come!!

Play up Your Shape!

This is just something that needs to be talked about for several reasons! They have some great tips in August People Style, but I'll just touch on a few.

All my curvy women:
Clothes that skim your body, not cling
Boot-leg Jeans, accommodates a smaller waist and a shapely bottom
V-neck and a tie waist blouses are very flattering

All my ladies with the wide hips:(yeah, I said it, this is my category, let's learn together):
Prints and light colored tops work well with a simple darker bottom
A-line dress down plays hips
Bootcut jeans
Texture and details bring the interest up top

To my Ladies carrying around a couple of twins, yes we know you love them and you should! But let's give the girls a little subtle privacy!!
Flared jeans, the flared led offsets a fuller top half
Cowl top, drapey and the sleeves hit below the bustline drawing the eye away
Square neck top or sheath with a skinny belt
Structured bustier with a sweetheart neckline, sexy and gives support, for Fall, pair with a classic blazer

Just a few tips..:)

I will have some office picture updates soon!! Got the room painted and a few pieces of furniture in but there's still a lot to be done.
