Peacoats!!

This jacket was created for sailors, but the spin all the great designers out there put in this coat, you are sure to own one or even more!!
If you don't own one yet, it's time to start shopping for
the style that's right for you. They come in every color you can think of, basic black, charcoal, gray for tour basic everyday wear and will go with everything. Or you can go outside of your comfort zone and try some of the Fall inspired coats. Purple, red, cobalt blue, orange, pink, or even yellow. I go for a new fall color every year just to keep it interesting, but I do have a coat fetish!! Fun ways to wear them, with your denim and t-shirt or you LBD. Whatever the outfit or occasion, your peacoat will fit right in!

A little tip: Costco has a Marc Jacobs coat right now in black, charcoal and red for $49.99! It's a steal and a great coat! I got mine!!!

Dress the size you are now!

I'm sorry ladies but I have to touch on this topic! I am so tired of hearing that you can't look fashionable because you haven't lost the weight yet! Nonsense!!!! You can look good whatever your weight, you just have to dress the weight you are now. And let's be truthful, if you really wanted that weight gone, you'd be in the gym everyday because you do have the time!! I should know, I'm a major procrastinator!!!

When I say that, I mean you dress for what's appropriate for your current weight. You don't have to go out and spend alot of money to do that. Your neighborhood Target would be a great place to start!

First you need a great fitting pair of jeans. When I say great fitting, the length should be long enough for heels and short enough for flats or buy to pair, one for each. You can never have to many pairs of jeans! The color should be a dark wash and bootcut or flare style. Please stay away from skinny jeans, they will do your shape an injustice! Not everyone can pull off a skinny jean!!
Wear a top that is fitting but not too tight but not too baggy either. You want it to flatter your shape, not make you look bigger.
So please, please, please stop making excuses and stop walking around looking like a slob when you don't have too. There's no excuse for it...not one!!

Sorry if this is a little harsh but that's one thing you'll learn about me and my blogs..I'll never BS you!!!

Boots! Boots! Boots!

Boots are hot this Fall!! Let's go through some of the styles to help you shop the boot that's right for you.

Peep-Toe Booties...
My favorite and the most chic right now!! They are sexy, they go with everything tapered pants to a cocktail dress. When the temperature drops throw on a pair tights in a similar hue of the shoe.

Lace-Ups....
A hot new trend that I was a little suspicious about until I saw all of the different styles. If you wear skinny jeans, then tuck them into your boots and throw on a chunky sweater. I've seen some styles that are trendy with a dress. Try what works for you!

Calf boots...

The most wearable and has been around forever! You can picture of the stylish Jacqueline Kennedy in super chic riding boots, which are not just for riding anymore. You can find a zip up pair, lace up or just pull them on. Wear them with denim, dresses, skirts or whatever you are feeling at the moment that's fashion forward.

Boots are a very easy way to make your outfit pop! Whichever pair you choose, just make sure they compliment your body type and the outfit you are wearing. Just because it's what's hot now, it may not be so hot on you, so keep it movin'!

So get out there and buy some boots!
Endless.com
Off Broadway Shoes
DSW
Rack Room shoes
Macy's
Nordstrom

Try any of these great places for your boot needs.

How to use the clothing you have

We all have several items of clothing in our closets that we don't know how to wear or what to wear it with. Send me a picture or just the name the piece of clothing and I can give you some tips on how to work or re-work it! Fall is near and it is almost time to switch out those summer wardrobes, but there are some things we can keep around! I'm hear to help you figure out what?

Punch up your Fall style!

Every magazine or tv show about fashion shows leather as a staple for fall! There are so many ways to wear leather. But you do have to be age appropriate!
For instance, leather pants are not for everybody, but everybody can definitely wear a leather jacket.
Leather jackets can be feminine, tough, or edgy. If you like the feminine, more girly types of outfits, try a cropped leather jacket in any of the fabulous fall colors and pair it with a floral dress. A flirty top and a pair of your favorite jeans will pull off this look also!

Tough looks are pretty easy, leather jackets with embellishments, like chains or studs. Rock with a tee, boyfriend or skinny jeans and pair of booties!

Edgy is fun! Try a leather pencil skirt or a pair of leather leggings. Pair the skirt with a more tailored or flowy top, lots of necklaces and bracelets. Lacey or opaque tights and pumps. Leather leggings are not for everyone, so be careful with your body type. We should not be able to see your butt, even if it is a cute one...:) Wear a belted tunic, or a slouchy tee with a bulky knit. Flats or booties will finish off this outfit.

If you are not into wearing leather, please indulge in a leather hobo or favorite handbag in a leather version.
Leather is not scary but is a lot of fun!! So indulge!!
