Fashion doesn’t have to be expensive!

I just want everyone to know that it doesn’t have to cost you a ton of money to be fashionable.  As long as there are stores like Target, Forever 21,Kohl’s, Gap, Old Navy, to name a few and even WalMart around, you can be as stylish as anyone in Hollywood! 

If you are that type of person that likes to stay up on the latest trends for the season, then you can simply look in your Sunday paper adds to see what’s hot and what’s not.  Open up an In Style or Lucky magazine in the grocery store. Also, being fashionable doesn’t mean you have to get so wrapped into getting real fancy everyday.  There is a term, “everyday chic”, and it’s not as bad as it sounds..:0) 

For instance, if you love your jeans and t-shirts so much that you can’t live without putting them on everyday, don’t stop!  Try this, instead of your typical, plain white tee, try some of the fun and flirty summer colors!  Periwinkle, teal, grey or some of the many shades of pink, but if you stick with white, no problem, add bright and bold colored accessories. Make it a v-neck with some embellishments or beads. T-shirts like that can cost you anywhere from $10 and up.  Switch up your denim too!!  Make them a pair of boyfriend jeans or cuff the pair you usually wear.  Throw on a cute belt and some gladiator sandals.

Now don’t forget to accessorize!!  The easiest way to make a plain outfit shine is to add your favorite accessories.  Long chain necklace, leather cuff with a few bangles, and a fat ring with some color bling. 

And now you are fashionable!!

Now take a good look at this big mess of an office!  It is going to look fabulous when I am done with it!!!  It will be a very fashionable office!!

Monday….blahhh!! Let’s turn it around!!

I don’t about you all but Monday for me is cleaning day!!  Not fun at all, but today I decided I would start with my office..:0)  How on earth can I blog in an office that’s a disaster.  So I came up with a pretty cool idea??  I am going to make my office look like closet.  That’s where I am the happiest anyway, when I am in my closet surrounded by the things I love!!  Of course, that’s my family too..:0)

So how do I do that, you ask?  I came up with this idea a few months ago, to have an office look like a huge wardrobe. I got this really cool, huge mirror and leather chest with storage space from a friend of mine that moved to Florida.  I picked out this awesome color for my wall.  I have a mannequin that I am going to dress very fashionably and accessorize once a week..;)  I have a board on the wall that has the fashion trends for whatever the season may be, in this case, we are getting ready for Fall!  Which if you are here in Colorado, we are still trying to enjoy our summer!!  And I figured I would pick up little knick knacks here and there that fit into my new room.  I will have to take some before and after pictures, so you all can follow my progress.  Maybe since I am blogging about it, I will finally get it done!!  More to come on the office magically changing into a closet!!

It's always nice to start your Sunday off with a nice cup of coffee and the Sunday paper.  What's so exciting about the Sunday paper, you ask?  Sales!!!!!  It is July so everyone is gearing up for back to school, but don't forget all of those treasures for us moms when we are out school shopping.  There's alot of great deals for the us too!!  For instance, I am headed to Kohls today!!  It's the last day for the extra 15% sale.  Never, ever..ever..ever..pass up a good coupon!!!!  Not only is everything in the store on sale but when I am done I will get an extra 15% at the register!  Now if that doesn't brighten up your Sunday even more, then I don't know what planet you are all on!!  Maybe a little more to come later, like a few good photos of some great finds at Kohl's, and believe me, I always find great stuff!!

Hello and hey to all of my wonderful moms out there!!  I am starting this blog to help me for one, but to help you all understand what part fashion takes in all of our lives.  It doesn’t have to be as big as most of you think or as small to wear you’ve just given up!  Just because we have kiddos, doesn’t mean we don’t have to care about the way we look when we step out that door on a daily basis.  Now I know some of you thinking, I’m crazy to care about fashion because we have so many other responsibilities being mothers.  Taking care and pride in yourself and the way you look is a good thing and doesn’t take a lot of time to achieve!!  So follow me as I blab about what fashion is doing for me and what it can do for you, what great deals are out there, style tips, and everything else that we as mothers go through from day to day but in my words as a Fashionmom!!!!
