Hello, hello! I've found another product worthy of mention & I'm certain every one of my female friends is going to want this stuff & maybe even a couple of my guy pals too. It's like a miracle cure for the good old "bags indicating you've experienced life" under your eyes - in other words, if you're tired of looking tired, this very well may be the answer. I'd never had a problem with bags under my eyes, except after college all-nighters and post-college all-night...stuff, until now.

These days I find that even if I get 7 hours of sleep those familiar puffy bags that I once only associated with wild nights or study groups show up the next day - and they don't tend to go away, either. I thought I was doomed to just accept this as part of growing older, until I tried Bright Eyes Recovery Gel, by Elemis.

I've tried cooling eye gels before, but never with much success. That's all they did - cooled they skin just below my eyes and made it tingle. It *felt* like it was doing something, but looking in the mirror didn't reveal any actual results. My eyes were still baggy, but now they were watering too. Sweeeeeet. But not this time! I gave this stuff as a gift to my girlfriend who's had the baggy eyes syndrome since childhood and it's the only thing I've ever seen work for her ever! How cool is that?

Whoo hoo! My first post in my new health & beauty blog! I have one to explore my personality (introspective), one for my photography, one for my writing (mostly essays on modern topics I find interesting or pertinent to me), and now one that's entirely dedicated to my beauty care regimen. I'm obviously a big fan of the blog, I find it helps me to read back in my own posts to see what's worked for me in the past and what hasn't. In this particular case, I think a blog is exactly what I need to get my skincare products in order. Thank you for taking this journey with me.

So let's get right to what got me to post today anyhow shall we? I was recommended this product by a friend of mine because I was dying for hand lotion that would moisturise my hands, but not leave them too greasy to type! She told me about Elemis' Intensive Hand Therapy lotion last year, and I just realised today that I've been using it for a year since, because I was looking down at my hands as I worked on something else and noticed those little cracks aren't there anymore.

!!!

Do you *know* how exciting that is? This is progress! I love progress! My hands used to be a tad bit of a source of shame for me, I hated seeing them in photographs because they seemed to take over the whole picture. I'm sure this is just because I was sensitive about my long fingers (I'm a piano player with a 9-key span) that had horrid nails attached to the ends of them - but now my fingernails are stronger and don't chip or look yellow/lined. I can paint them again without feeling guilty! I'm always happy when I find that I've invested in something for bettering myself has become a success, this is one of those times. Perhaps I will post a picture of my perfectly pretty palms soon!
