It is time!!!!! My closet is asking for Spring!!
So today is the day!!! I am officially swapping winter clothing out of my everyday closets and moving in spring/summer! Denver is a bit bipolar right now but I am getting very impatient!! Since today is my day off, my goal is to completely edit my entire wardrobe!! I will be storing away all of my fabulous winter coats in their basement wardrobes and bringing in the dresses, shorts, and all of my fun spring clothing!! It's an all day process but I will get it done!! This will also be the first year I will trying on everything and then making a huge garage sale pile!! If I haven't worn it in the past few seasons, it's a goner!!! I also posted some pictures of the process below..clothing racks and all!! Alright..Ready..set..Go!!! Wish me luck!!

I got my boutique shopping fix at Inspyre!!!!
I absolutely love Boutique shopping!! So a friend of mine told me about a Living Social deal( you all know about that!). Anyways.. I bought the deal and finally stepped into the "Inspyre Boutique", located in LoHi. It is exactly how I remember my Cali boutiques but this is in Denver! Small, quaint, and full of reasonable priced fashion! I was in heaven..:0). I tried on multiple items and I had one of those rare moments in shopping where everything looked and felt great!! Well, I couldn't leave the store with everything, my husband would've killed me!! But I did get some chic pieces to add to my spring/summer wardrobe. First was this fabulous black maxi dress with side cut outs, a bit risky but fabulous!! I also picked up a maxi skirt and two gorgeous tops!! If you love the boutique experience or you've never stepped into one.. "Inspyre" definitely hits the spot!!!!! I give them a 10 for sure!!!

Great score!!!
I am so excited about my new shorts!!! They are from the Duro Olowu collection at JCP!! The fit is great and they have the coolest print!! For those of you at have not yet heard of Duro... He is a Nigerian born designer who is known for his fabulous prints. Besides being totally excited that I found my size.. His entire line is on clearance!! I got the shorts for $12 and great T-shirt blouse from his collection for only $10! If you are looking for some fabulous new pieces with some serious flare to add to your wardrobe, you should definitely get down to JCP and get your shop on!!!! Here are some photos of my new purchases!!!

Shopping in your closet!
Most of you have heard the term, " shop your closet". For those of you that have no idea what this means, I am going to break it down for you!
I always shop my closet during wardrobe swaps, that gives me the opportunity too see what I have and what I need. To do that, make sure you pull all of basics that work with everything, meaning your basic tees and tanks, jeans, light cardigans, etc. Make a pile of things that do not fit and things that you are going to donate. Now for myself, this time of year always connects with our neighborhood garage sale, so I am also making a pile of garage sale clothing and accessory items. I also keep some of the current spring magazines near, then I can see what colors I have and which I'd like to try for the season and make a list of the new trends I'd like to try!
So now you are ready to shop your closet! Grab those items that you haven't worn in awhile and match them up with something different in your wardrobe. The idea is too create a whole new look with that odd piece that you couldn't find anything to go with. So start shopping, holding that item in hand, hold it up too everything in your closet! Literally!! Lets say it is a black polka dot top, hold it up too colored denim, leather skirts or shorts, floral capri pants or skirts, anything that you wouldn't have done before and create a new outfit! You can take this a bit further including shoes and accessories. Keep up this process until you've created yourself a new wardrobe with these items! You will be amazed and what you find in your very own closet!
There are a couple of other things that you can do to revitalize your closet! Mix up suits. Pair a pant suit blazer with a pair of tailored shorts or skirt. Mix up the colors, with the all so popular color blocking! Take a maxi dress that you've had for a couple years to the tailor and for $30 or less, have it transformed into a mini dress! There is so much right in our closets that we haven't discovered and its time we do that!!! So come all fashionistas!! I challenge you all the ,"Shop your closets"!!

Fashionmom MIA?!?! Where have I been, you ask?!
So I am trying really hard to get back into my groove!! I've been so busy with my new job and transitioning back into the work force I've let my blog fall to the side. Of course Fashion is still my passion so I am definitely holding it down at the office style wise!! I have to say.. It's fun getting dressed for work everyday! Down to the tiniest details..like accessories!! I've actually been putting a lot of thought into work wear, spending time on Pinterest,Pose, and several fashion blogs. Putting together outfits with what I have in my wardrobe and some new additions too!
We all know that dressing for the office has definitely changed or shall I say lightened up over the years. You can still wear suits but they are a lot more fun now in in bright colors, fitted, and my favorite is mixing them up. See.. I told you I was on a work style high!!
But what I really came to say is... It is time for the Spring/ Summer wardrobe swap!! Now I know this is coming to you late because it is April and Spring, but where I am, there's still snow on the ground..:(. I am trying really hard to get motivated so I can start putting my maxi dresses and wedges back into my main closet!! So I figured if I start talking about fashion again I will get that motivation I need to get started..:0). I am still Fun , Fashionable, and Fabulous!! So wish me luck and please welcome me back!!
